University of Illinois Foundation

Since it was established in 1935 by alumni leaders and University of Illinois officials, the University of Illinois Foundation has served as the official fundraising and private gift-receiving agency for the university. A university-related, nonprofit membership corporation, the Foundation works closely with alumni and friends, faculty members and students, corporations and charitable foundations as well as advancement staff members on the Urbana-Champaign, Chicago and Springfield campuses to enhance private support for academic priorities. The foundation is currently spearheading Brilliant Futures, a $2.25 billion capital campaign to raise funds for scholarships and fellowships, faculty, programs, research, facilities and other vital goals on each campus.
