Tuition Waivers
Tuition Waivers - Employee
Tuition waivers are not granted for the Executive MBA Program, or other self-supporting programs. See listings of exempt programs. Before enrolling in any program, check with the program director to make sure employee tuition waivers are accepted.
Most academic staff members who register for University of Illinois courses are eligible for a tuition and service fee waiver if they hold an appointment of twenty-five percent or more of full-time service. Also, included in this policy are staff members of allied agencies who are considered equivalent to academic staff members of the University. Tuition waivers and fee exemption apply to any of the University of Illinois campuses including University of Illinois-Chicago, and University of Illinois-Springfield.
While there is no set limit on the number of units of credit that may be taken by academic employees registered in the Graduate College, it is recommended that the employee-student discuss and determine the appropriate level of hours with both their employing unit and their graduate department.
